Survey Background |
The World Airport Survey is the world's largest Airport Customer Satisfaction survey, conducted by the leading specialist aviation research organisation. Operating since 1999, the survey is held in high esteem for clarity of process and rules of independence. The results are published at the World Airport Awards. The World Airport Awards deliver a true level of integrity, independence and trust to Quality Recognition for the world airport industry. The awards have no subscription or entrance fees, no airport sponsorship, and do not involve a pay-to-attend award ceremony. All entries screened to identify each IP / user information, with duplicate or ineligible entries deleted. In 2022, over 100 customer nationalities participated in the survey, with more than 550 airports are featured in the survey results. The surveys evaluate traveller experiences across different airport service and product key performance indicators - from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration through to departure at the gate.  Skytrax World Airport Awards are regarded as the most prestigious of any for the world airport industry providing the global benchmark of airport excellence.
